Serbia, officially the Republic of Serbia, is a country in Central and Southeastern Europe. More interesting facts about Serbia include their language. First of all, it’s the only European language that utilizes both the Cyrillic and Latin alphabet to the same extent. While government documents are mainly written in the Cyrillic alphabet, everything else features both. Serbia has many natural features that make it beautiful. From mountains to rivers, this country has some of it all. One of the most impressive mountain ranges in Serbia is the Carpathian and Balkan Mountains. Their beautiful peaks offer amazing views of the country.
The strongest sectors of Serbia’s economy are energy, the automotive industry, machinery, mining, and agriculture. The country’s primary industrial exports are automobiles, base metals, furniture, food processing, machinery, chemicals, sugar, tires, clothes, and pharmaceuticals. Serbia is not quite as cheap to discover as it once was. It remains one of the most inexpensive destinations on the continent however, and you’ll find that your dollar travels an extremely long way in the country. Best of all, this landlocked country in the heart of the Balkans is still delightfully off the tourist trail. While the feisty Serbian spirit is embodied in Belgrade’s world-class nightlife and Novi Sad’s epic EXIT Festival, look beyond these historic metropolises and you’ll discover a crucible of cultures and unsullied outdoors ripe for exploration.
It’s safe to do walking around midnight and till late of the night at the Belgrade city center. We would not suggest you to go around suburbs though. There are no clubs and no nightlife there so better to stay in the city center. With food and culture being the most commonly mentioned facts when tourists discuss what is Serbia known for, it is only natural to mention their national drink in the same sentence. Šljivovica is a type of rakija (Serbian brandy) made from a special variety of plum exclusively grown in the Balkans.
Serbia is generally very safe. It is ranked 31st of 162 on the list of the safest and most dangerous countries. Its people are very kind and happy to help, and tourists especially shouldn’t encounter any bigger problems in Serbia. Shopping isn’t Serbia’s strong point but there are still gems and bargains to be found. … More designer clothing shops can be found along the pedestrianised street of Knez Mikhailova. A couple of regular flea markets are held within the city but the quality of product isn’t particularly high.
We have a unique way of meeting your adventurous expectations!
